Sportswire Clip Of The Day - 6/21/12

Surprise, surprise, Derek Fisher has landed himself another Clip Of the Day at WCWP.  Matt and David were discussing how sometimes, teams or players need to lose in their first finals appearance before winning a title.  Derek Fisher's name was brought up as not having to go through a loss in his first Finals.  Then, Matt ranted about how Fisher gets a pass on whenever he does something bad but manages to receive all the praise for doing anything positive. He wants to know how this all happened.

Clip of the Day- 6-19-12

Today on the Sportswire, Bryan and David discussed the dominant pitching throughout the month of June for the starting pitching staff of the New York Yankees. During the conversation, Bryan pointed out the performance this season of Andy Pettitte since coming out of retirement. But Bryan and David did not talk about Andy's pitching; instead they talked about his illegal pickoff move and the look he gives when he pitches...

Sportswire Clip Of The Day - 6/18/12

Coming off the weekend, Matt, Bryan, and David discussed last night's NBA Finals Game 3.  Gallucci questioned the new 2-3-2 playoff format for the finals and claimed all he wants is continuity in the schedule. Matt accused Bryan of being a traditionalist and afraid of change which then led Bryan to disclosing the fact he doesn't wear batting gloves. So the question needed to be asked: Does Bryan pee on his hands?

For our next clip, Matt accused Scott Brooks of committing a crime when he decided it would be a good idea to play Derek Fisher 28 minutes in an NBA Finals game. Fisher is stealing Serge Ibaka's career by all of the minutes he is taking away from him.  Of course, David and Bryan came to Fisher's defense...

Finally, the guys were talking about how Major League Baseball set the highest single day attendance mark in nearly 4 years on Sunday.  A lot of things attributed to this including the fantastic weather. This then led to Bryan making fun of Matt for only going to games in nice weather and how he doesn't own a pair of gloves. David and Bryan did not know the difference between mittens and gloves so Matt had to pass on his knowledge. Finally, a cell phone began ringing in studio throwing the entire show off course.

Sportswire Clip of The Day - 6/14/12

In his weekly spot, Seth Rosenthal of the lovely Posting and Toasting asked Matt and David about their most memorable field trips.  After David spoke about "Safety Town" and Matt remembered the time he got chased by a baby pig, Seth recalled the most intimate moment of his life...the "touch tunnel"

Sportswire Clip Of The Day - 6/13/12

On today's show, Matt and Joe spoke about the odd question that a Canadian media member asked Washington Nationals' Bryce Harper after last night.  Since Harper, only 19 years old, is technically allowed to drink in Canada, the reporter asked what kind of beer Harper was going to drink in celebration and what his favorite type of alcohol was. Harper gave the best, most Ronnie-esque from Jersey Shore, response of all time: "That's a clown question, bro"

Later in the clip, as the guys tease what they will talk about in the next segment, Matt unintentionally creates a new nickname for Jason Bay.

Sportswire Clip Of The Day - 6/7/12

On today's show, Matt was telling David about a basketball camp in Denver that Nuggets Center Javale McGee is making an appearance at to teach kids how to play.  We both agreed that Javale McGee was the last person we wanted the youth of America to learn how to play the game of basketball from.  We also wondered if Javale's crazy mom, Pam McGee would be making an appearance.
