Braylon Edwards Cuffed for DWI

From the NY Post:

Jets' wide receiver Braylon Edwards was busted on a drunken driving charge early this morning, after cops pulled him over on the West Side and found he had double the legal limit of alcohol in his system, police said.

Edwards, 27, was arrested at 5:15 a.m. and charged with DWI, after cops pulled over his Range Rover at 34th Street and 12th Avenue for having overly-tinted windows. Police said they smelled alcohol and Edwards blew a 0.16 on a Breathalyzer, or double the state's legal limit of 0.08.

A passenger was with Edwards but it doesn't appear they were charged. Edwards is currently in police custody, and will be arraigned later today.

There's so much to say about this joker.

But the most important thing is that Braylon Edwards will most likely be suspended. I don't know how long, but he will be. That leaves the New York Jets offense -- the same offense that performed so effectively with Braylon playing a big part -- will be down another wide receiver.

Santonio Holmes is out until Week 5. David Clowney stinks. I love Jerricho Cotchery, but he can't make some of the plays Edwards can. Same for Dustin Keller.

The only thing we can hope for as Jets fans is that everybody rises to the occasion. With Edwards now out and Darrelle Revis out, every single player needs to play well above their level. That's going to be tough.

In conclusion, screw you, Braylon. How dare you ruin one of the most promising offensive performances I've seen from this group. Regardless, I can't wait for the offense to be back at ful tilt.
