T-Will Working with the Best

From the Nets' Official Site:

On his workouts with Gary Payton:
“Two hours? Yeah, right. More than two hours! We’d wake up at 9 a.m., do the workout from 10-12, then do from 6-8 do shooting and dribbling, and then go conditioning from 9-10 on the court. All the way up until I did workouts. Starting as soon as school was over. I think it’ll take a long time for me to get out of shape.”

Did Payton give him anything specific to focus on?
“He said, ‘You’re a good shooter, you just don’t know it. You have to tell yourself you’re a good shooter. Have confidence in your own shot.’ He told me when I shoot to make sure I land in the same spot, because every time I fall back, I miss. So I made sure I was doing that, having confidence when I was taking it and I started to improve from there."

Learning from Gary Payton, one of the great shooters and defenders of all time, will benefit Terrence Williams immensely. The Nets couldn't have gotten a better fit unless they ended up with Blake Griffin.

Watch. T-Will is going to have one of the three best seasons by any lottery pick.
