From the Star-Ledger:
Injured Mets shortstop Jose Reyes took batting practice outdoors and did some light jogging Friday, but there is still no timetable on when Reyes can return from injuries to his right hamstring and calf.
"I have to do it one step at a time," Reyes said. "I don't want to get back on the field and have to take a step back. That would not be good for me. So I have to make sure everything is ready for me to go."
Hopefully Reyes can get back to form soon. But when he does, how will Alex Cora be worked in?
Well, that's probably not a problem. It's Luis Castillo's turn to go on the DL in a few weeks. No worries...
Burkhardt (BURKHARDT!!) said on his Twitter:
Reyes ran in the OF today. Don't get too excited - he still isn't ready to come back. When I say run, I mean sort of.
So Reyes is still a while away.
And by the way, how does that picture (above) not get as much hate as A-Rod's pictures, which weren't that bad in the first place?
