Jets Sign Greene

From the Star-Ledger:

The Jets have signed third-round pick, running back Shonn Greene, the club just announced.
Greene, a Sicklerville native, signed a four-year deal that includes a $905,000 signing bonus.

He's expected to split time in a three-headed backfield, including Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, and is the heir apparent to the veteran Jones.

The Jets thought so highly of Greene that they traded up to the top of the third-round and made the former Iowa star the first selection on the second-day of the draft.

With the signing of Greene, the Jets now have all three 2009 draft picks under contract.

Good news. Hopefully this leaves more time to devote to Leon Washington and TJ.
