"[Plaxico Burress is] interesting," said Jets wide receiver coach Henry Ellard. "He makes plays. He made a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes. We would love to have him because he adds to what we already have. But if it came down to it, I think we'll be fine with what we already have."

I'm still torn on the issue. Burress is a great talent and would help Mark Sanchez -- and the Jets as a whole -- on the field. But the risk of him getting into more trouble, being tardy to meetings, and overall douche-baggery is high.
If Tom Coughlin couldn't control him on a Super Bowl winning team, can Rex Ryan handle him on a very good, yet unproven team?
Drew Rosenhaus seems confident that Burress will have a new team soon. He said on his Twitter, "Now that the legal process is on hold we are hoping to have a deal in place with a team for Plex before training camps start."
He also wrote, "I just spoke with Plaxico Burress' attorney and he asserted his belief that there will not be a trial for Plex until after the 09 season."
Along with the Jets, the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are interested in Plax's services. So as soon as Roger Goodell gives word that Burress will not be suspended, I'd expect a mad dash. Any team would be stupid to sign him before that confirmation is given from Goodell.
Do you think the Jets should get Plax? Vote in the poll and leave your comments telling me what you think.
