Feely: QBs Improving, Keller Dominant

A few notes from Jets OTAs via Jay Feely's Twitter:

"OTA recap:best practice for the offense yet. Both QB'S looked confident and threw crisp balls. Dustin Keller looked dominant today.

If Dustin can consistently play like he did today (similiar to the NE game) he will present real problems for defenses aka Gonzalez & Gates.

I think Keller can be that good."

Good to hear the quarterbacks are getting better. For a while, we've read that the defense was killing the offense every practice.

About Keller: I've thought that he catapulted himself into the upper tier of tight ends after his rookie year. His combination of speed, size and catching ability is the makeup of any elite tight end today. He reminds me of Dallas Clark or Owen Daniels. He's effective coming off the line or in the slot.

But his production this year will depend on the quarterback. As much as I hate to say it, I have to give Brett Favre a lot of credit for Dustin Keller's rookie year. Favre is tight end-happy, and formed a relationship with Keller, so that helped. Hopefully this dominance will open the quarterbacks' eyes to how great of a weapon he is.

--In other Twitter news, Chad Pennington wants you to know that he doesn't Tweet.

In case you were wondering, Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington didn't put down a 40-ounce Porterhouse, two baked potatoes, zucchini and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon for dinner last Thursday night.

He also didn't hit the town with linebacker Matt Roth on the night Jason Taylor reunited with the Dolphins, thus he wouldn't know whether Roth actually ''started bashing his head repeatedly with a parking cone'' because he was ''not happy about losing his job to JT,'' as Pennington's supposed Twitter account suggested.

''I need to send out a press release or something!'' Pennington laughed after Tuesday's organized team activity. "Can somebody please let the world know I don't have Twitter or Facebook or any of those things?''

Wow. Someone's creative...
