When Will it End?

From Rotoworld:

According to the New York Daily News, one NFL source insists free agent Brett Favre "can't peacefully retire until he finds a way to get revenge on the Packers."

"Favre can't stand Green Bay," the source said. "He wants to play Green Bay and say, 'I told you so.' His bitterness is creating this. I think he's calling Minnesota. I think Minnesota is talking about this as we speak. You haven't heard the end of Favre. No way. He is bionic. As long as somebody will let him in, he will play."

Ugh. Now I wouldn't dispel this claim 100%, but I, and the rest of the Jets fanbase, have just heard enough of this. We've lived through the nightmare, and the references to Favre only reemphasize the pain endured.

On SportsCenter, Trent Dilfer revealed that he text messaged Favre, asking him if he would return to the NFL. Dilfer said that he received "a resounding 'no'". Favre could have given the smokescreen answer because Dilfer is a member of the media. Or maybe he's sincere this time...

Here's the original Daily News article. It chronicles the whole Favre saga.
