From Terrell Owens' Twitter page:"Neither ws i, blame the OC & romo!! but i'm happy 2 b where i am but i miss the other guys tht were & r true teammates!!"
He wrote this to one of his followers who was displeased with the way the 35-year old receiver was released from the Dallas Cowboys. He goes on to cite Tony Romo, the Cowboys' flashy, overrated quarterback as the main reason for his dismissal. The "OC" he refers to is Dallas Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett.
If you remember, towards the end of his stay in Dallas, TO said that Romo and Tight End Jason Witten were isolating themselves from the rest of the offense.
Owens thinks Romo and Witten -- close friends and road roommates who came to Dallas in the same offseason -- hold private meetings and create plays without including Owens, according to a source who speaks regularly with Owens' teammates. Owens believes these discussions have worked to his detriment and Romo seeks to deliver the ball to Witten regardless of whether Owens is open.
I believe Owens when he says that. Romo and Witten are good friends. What else are they supposed to do? It's unfortunate that TO got the axe, when he was telling the truth. His track record didn't help him, though.
Of course, this is a far off cry (pun intended) from this famous TO scene:
...Anything to get that clip in.
