No not Favre...
From the Cleveland Plain-Dealer:
Mangini has said he has no timetable in naming his starter for the 2009 season.
He would not say whether Brett Ratliff, who was acquired in the draft-day trade with the New York Jets, was a contender for the starting job.
"I'm going to look at that position completely," Mangini said. "It's one of those things where he'll get opportunities and there will be a rotation. There will be some days where any of the four quarterbacks can be the one. But right now my primary focus is with Brady and Derek."
I can take this two ways. I can comprehend the quote for what it is. Ratliff is not a consideration. Or I can read into it. Mangini doesn't want to show his overbearing favoritism for Ratliff, but will ultimately start him.
I'll go with the 1st one though. It's a shame.
