Revis Ranked 6th Best CB

The Sporting News put together a list of the top cornerbacks in the NFL. With no surprise, Anthony DeFranco's boy(friend) Nnamdi Asomugha was atop the list. Second was shocking. In fact, numbers 3-5 were just as egregious, because Jets Cornerback Darelle Revis did not appear until 6th.

The names ahead of him? Cortland Finnegan, Champ Bailey, Asante Samuel and Nate Clements. All good corners. All not better than Revis.

The term shutdown corner is used widely when discussing defensive backs. But only few actually merit that distinction. Few can actually prevent plays to a side of the field every single down. Asomugha is one. Revis is another. There's really nobody else who warrants as much respect as those two.
