"My expectations haven't changed since the draft," Clemens said after a morning workout. "I expect to be under center opening day in Houston."
Clemens goes on to say:
"It doesn't matter much if it's Brett Ratliff or Mark Sanchez, the beautiful thing when you are competing with yourself is it doesn't matter who the other guy is."

Those are fighting words. You're move, Sanchez.
Clemens is in the right frame of mind, but he's fooling himself. Chances are Mark Sanchez will win the starting job by opening day. The story about him installing the offense himself, his outgoingness & likeable personality and the love the coaches have for him more or less solidify Sanchez as the Jets starting quarterback.
Now, you want to talk about someone having a chance to start opening day? Say 'Hello' to Brett Ratliff.
