Brett Gardner just hit an inside-the-park homerun in the 7th inning. Gardner entered the game against Minnesota after Johnny Damon was tossed for arguing a bad call. The 25-year old centerfielder hit his first career homerun two nights ago in Toronto.
Not too shabby.
UPDATE: Gardner just hit what I think will be scored as a triple. The funny thing is that he slipped on first base and still made it to third. If not for that fall, he could have had another inside-the-park homer. I'll still contend that he is the fastest man in the majors.
