Bruney Out -- Robertson Called Up

From the Newark Star-Ledger:

The Yankees have recalled right-hander David Robertson from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take the spot of reliever Brian Bruney, Yankees manager Joe Girardi said on Monday.

Robertson is good and could be the real deal. He has a 3.86 ERA and a K/9 of 13.5 in 5 appearances in 2009. It'll be good to see some competant relievers in the bullpen.

And why is Bruney out?

Bruney admitted Monday that the pain from a flexor muscle strain in his right elbow never went away, even after returning from nearly a month-long stay on the disabled list. Initially, Bruney didn't disclose his recurring elbow pain to the Yankees. But after less than a week on the active roster -- and after being limited to just one appearance because of the pain -- Bruney is headed back to the DL.

I know this is going to sound a little corny, but how can a team operate if the players can't be trusted? Bad job by Bruney.
