Brett Gardner, the Yankees' 25-year old centerfielder, has a contustion in his rotator cuff. Gardner has come alive during New York's current 5-game winning streak. He's gone 5 of 12 with 2 homeruns and RBIs, not to mention, some great defensive plays in center. Gardner got injured while trying to score the winning run in the 9th inning on Sunday, against the Twins, because of this great play by Joe Mauer:
Gardner will not play tonight against the Twins.
