Onto the games:

3 seeded Missouri soured Dominic James epic return from a foot injury to defeat Marquette 83-79.  Mizzou led by 16 at one point in the first half by the Eagles stormed back with a comeback thanks to Jerel McNeal and Wesley Matthews combined 54 points.  However, Lazar Hayward's bone head play with 5.5 seconds left to play where he stepped onto the court as he tried to toss in the in-bounds pass blew the game.

Michigan State avoided a second round upset to USC as they won 74-69.  DeMar DeRozan had 18 points for USC but they did not get a great performance from Taj Gibson.  Gibson, who went perfect from the field in the game against BC had just 3 points and fouled out in 23 minutes.

Top seed Louisville avoided a big time scare from 9th seed Siena as they advance by the score of 79-72.  Edwin Ubiles had 24 points and 8 boards for Siena but the real star of the game was Terrence Williams.  The standout Cardinal had 24 points and 15 rebounds.

Mike and I are off until Thursday...until then, stay safe kids.
