Jordan Lauterbach here. Currently I'm sitting on the floor of the Mass Mutual center in Springfield, Massachusetts awaiting the tip of the Gannon/ Central Missouri State. Still got about 2 and a half hours until Pioneers pre-game so I see no better way to get ready for the broadcast then live blogging the first game. Why should you care? The reason is simple.
The Winner of this game plays the winner of the Post/ Findlay game later tonight. The scout in me is naturally intrigued. The teams are now on the floor. For a crowd that populates only about an eighth of the arena, it is a lot louder then I expected. This could be the fact that both bands are playing different songs simultaneously. This sounds as bad as you may imagine.
While we have a moment, here's a fun stat about the Pioneers opponent, the Findlay Oilers. They stand at 33-0, but have lost a game this season....It was a scrimage with Xavier in which they lost by three. Where have you heard of Xavier you ask?....They are only playing in the NCAA D1 Sweet Sixteen...Yeah, Findlay's pretty good.
