Big East Digest- Final showdown

Ok everyone, Mike T here with the moment we all have been waiting for: The final of the Big East Tournament. And what a tourney it has been. Before I get to the picks, I have to talk a bit about the epic game that was Syracuse/UConn:

- I was at the game, sitting in Section 420 behind the UConn bench, and I have to tell you it was the greatest game I have ever been to. There were a group of Cuse fans that me and my cousin (who goes to Syracuse) sat with, and we had a ball. There were also UConn fans around us, and it made for a great atmosphere. We went nuts when Devendorf hit the 3 in regulation, only to feel like it was over after they ruled it came after the clock expired.

- 6 OTs later, and after not getting to sleep by 3am, I cant complain about what I witnessed.

Onto the pick:

9pm- (1) Louisville vs. (6) Syracuse

- They cant possibly have anything left in the tank do they? After 4 halves and a combined 7 OTs in the last 2 games, Jim Boeheim's kids have to be gassed...Right?

- If they were going to be tired, wouldnt they have showed it last night? I have a feeling that the Orange have one more gear left for this game. Louisville has won 2 games without great performances from Terrence Williams. However, Earl Clark and Samardo Samuels have been huge in the paint, and Jerry Smith hit some huge threes.

The Pick: I had Louisville at the beginning of the tourney, and actually had them beating Pitt in the Finals. Pitt didnt make it, and instead they have to face OT- tested Orange. Louisville will be the safe pick, and trendy pick, but I think the Orange are going to pull this one out and set themselves up for at the worst a 3 seed, pushing towards a 2.

record: 16-2
