With his shooting arm injured and a definate playoff team behind him, I would suggest that Stan Van Gundy and Nelson should come to a consensus to keep Nelson out of this year's All-Star Game. There is no reason for Jameer Nelson to exert any unnecessary strain on his shoulder, in a meaningless game.
The question now is: Who will take Jameer Nelson's place on the Eastern Conference All-Star roste
r?My choice is David Lee. He should have made the squad over Rashard Lewis, and his addition would somewhat rectify him being overlooked. The man averages 15.9 points and 11.7 rebounds a game. Lee is second in the NBA in double-doubles, with 35; only one behind the best center in the game, Dwight Howard. He is the primary reason why the Knicks are still afloat after Donnie Walsh traded 3 of their best players away, during the season.
For those reasons, David Lee deserves this roster spot. He deserves some respect and recognition.
--Kobe Bryant scores 61 points in 36 minutes is incredible. 'Incredible' is the only adjective that fits Bryant's performance.
But what will be passed over, in the box score of this game, is Danilo Gallinari's game. The Rooster played 20 minutes, on Monday, a pretty large increase from the last 3 games he has played. Also, 10 points and 4 rebounds is another nice showing from the rookie.
--An MLB source is telling ESPN that the LA Dodgers have offered Manny Ramirez a 1-year, $25 million contract.
Dear Brian Cashman,
Get on that NOW!
Love,
Max Caster
UPDATE: Manny has rejected the Dodgers' offer.
